Rice University's Office of International Students & Scholars strives to keep our international community involved on campus and off. We organize a variety of activities intended to help students, staff and faculty as well as their families make friends and build connections on campus.
Some of our programs, such as International Ladies Network, International Friends at Rice, and our English & Culture classes, offer opportunities for international students and scholars to meet each other, network, and develop new friendships. Student clubs and other activities on and off campus, provide opportunities for our international community to get involved.
We strongly encourage you to participate in any and all programs offered at Rice. To learn more about any particular program and how to get involved, please click on the links above.
It is our volunteers that make all of these events possible, so if you would like to lend a helping hand--and have some fun while doing it--please do not hesitate to contact us!
Please note:
OISS provides a variety of programs and opportunities to Rice internationals with the purpose of cross-cultural education and enrichment. Many of these programs are led by community volunteers. If you have any concerns about a volunteer leader while participating in one of these programs, please speak to an OISS staff member. Our purpose is strictly cross-cultural adjustment, awareness, and enrichment.
