Campus Initiatives for Internationals
Internationally focused initiatives across Rice campus are constantly developing as interest, need, and opportunities arise. Some are country-specific, others are campus-wide initiatives specifically designed with the Rice international community in mind. These initiatives are dedicated to enhancing your Rice experience, so check back often to see what is new.
Fondren Library - Rice's library has created an incredible guide for internationals to help transition to life at Rice and in the U.S. They also organized a fantastic Information Fair held in August during international graduate student orientation.
Center for Career Development - Rice's CCD has many resources available for international students ranging from interview tips to help with your resume. They've also created a very helpful handout on International Students & the Job Search
Center for Written, Oral, and Visual Communication (CWOVC) - The CWOVC offers a number of workshops every semester that are specifically designed for international students at Rice, and also offers daily feedback sessions on course papers, oral presentations, poster design, slide design, and general writing by appointment with peer tutors trained to work with ESL students.
Country Specific Initiatives: As Rice continues to create, promote, and expand academic and cultural mobility programs between Rice University and other outstanding academic universities, institutions, and organizations all over the world, country-specific initiatives are developed to support those programs. Below are some of the initiatives with resources, information, and funding opportunities to support these developing programs.
